Quick and Clean Caramel Sauce Recipe
This five-minute effort results in something a whole lot better than what you get from the grocery store.
Here is a no-nonsense recipe for a simple, pungent caramel sauce. You can whip it up in about five minutes, and it goes well on both banana cake and apple cake.
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp heavy cream
1 c sugar
In a small pot, melt butter until lightly browned.
Stir in cream and sugar.
Keep stirring until desired consistency is reached during the boil. About 3-4 minutes.
And that’s it: I guarantee it’ll beat anything you find in the grocery store.
